CHRIST THE KING WOMEN'S BOOK CLUB
On alternate Sunday evenings, the Women from Christ the King Church of Upper St. Clair and the women from Christ the King Family Worship Center of Weirton gather at Panera Bread Co. at the Pointe at Robinson to discuss the current book club selection.
| The Book Club began when Pastor Susan Beninate asked the women to join together to read Pathway to Purpose to help all of us to find our place in the work God has for His church. We began meeting to discuss the book over coffee on Sunday evenings. Since that time in the summer of 2007, we have enjoyed rich teaching from such authors as Katie Brazelton, Joyce Meyer, Nicole Johnson, John Bevere and currently Beth Moore. Pastor Beninate has chosen many more encouraging titles for us to enjoy in the months to come. | |
Come join the discussion as we begin to search the rich teaching of Beth Moore's book, Praying God's Word. As always the discussion will be moderated by the very capable leadership of Karen Straub. Karen always brings something new and thought provoking to the table. Her sweetness and kind understanding brings out the best in all of us as she encourages us to see what we thought we knew in a new light.
If your haven't ordered your copy of Praying God's Word, another order will be taken at the March 8th meeting. You won't want to miss the rich teaching in this book. Learn to apply God's Word to every situation in your life. Learn what a stronghold is, where it comes from and how to pull it down for good! Hope to see you at the next Book Club Meeting.

SUSAN CONNELLY FROM WEIRTON WRITES: Every other Sunday, a diverse group of women sit and discuss the profound lessons learned in the book, The Bait of Satan by John Bevere. I must say that as I leave each book club meeting I am truly fed spiritually and enriched by the wisdom that each woman brings to the meeting. Laughter, joy and even tears at times are no stranger to each meeting that is so full of life inspiring wisdom. We take our time to absorb the profound truths found in this book and figure out how to make them real in our own lives, being doers of the word, not only hearers. It is amazing to sit among the women who attend this meeting and realize that in Christ, we are never alone in our circumstances and situations, and that there are those who have withstood time, temptation and tribulation and let God shine. Each meeting is unique in nature because God's love and presence fills the room as we sit at His feet and hunger for His truths. You could not have been listening if you walk away from one of these book club meetings and not be refreshed in every way. |
